PEREGRINE fuel/diesel tank heaters are designed to warm stored liquids to prevent them from gelling or waxing.

The Peregrine Fuel Tank Heater is an essential component for critical industry designed to ensure optimal fuel temperature/performance in cold weather conditions. Specifically engineered for tanks and can be utilised for Oil, HVO or Diesel storage. With effective thermostatic control our heaters prevent fuel gelling and waxing, allowing smooth engine operation even in the harshest climates.

How Fuel Tank Heaters Help

Efficient Heating – Utilising advanced heating elements made from stainless steel, fully sheathed in brass tubes and plated with nickel, they protect against the corrosive action of fuels and provide great conductivity of heat.

Dual thermostats – Our heaters maintain consistent fuel temperatures, protecting your fuels from overheating and hot-spotting, to ensure optimal fuel flow and engine performance.

Durable and Reliable Construction – Made from high-quality materials in our own UK workshop and coated with a layer of electo-nickel plating, our heaters are built for longevity and performance.

Our fuel tank heaters are available in a Side Entry or Top Entry Designs

Both types provide ease of installation

Top entry heaters are supplied with 9” mild steel boss that welds directly to the tank or inspection cover and provides the base for the heater to fix onto. Our heaters are made to fit your tank, so we will need to know it’s dimensions. Top entry heaters can be removed easily for tank maintenance or replacement

Side Entry heaters are fabricated to fit on either 2”, 2 1/4” or 3” BSP mild steel tanks bosses. These can be welded to the correct location and our heater mounted directly to them.

Why Preheat plate their products

Nickel plating our brass heaters provides a critical protective barrier that addresses the inherent weaknesses of brass in high-performance or fuel-heating environments. Our plating provides a non-porous layer for better corrosion and oxidisation protection and prevents the contamination of copper ions into fuels.

What is fuel gelling/waxing

Prevents Fuel Gelling/waxing and unwanted moisture build up – Maintaining diesel fuel at 8°C reduces the risk of engine starting problems from blocked filters or injectors. It provides better fuel atomisation with injectors spraying a finer mist which combusts more easily. Diesel fuel can cloud at around -5°C with full gelling/waxing at around -8°C.

Peregrine fuel tank heater have elements which are sheathed, so that they have the thermal efficiency of brass with the chemical durability of high-grade steel.

Our Peregrine heaters can be built as standard, weatherproofed or to Atex Zone ll certification. ATEX Zone II Certification provides the assurance that our heaters are safe under normal operation in hazardous areas.

Benefits of Fuel Tank Heating

Enhances Engine Reliability – Warmer fuel is less viscous, resulting in a finer mist from fuel injectors and easier start-up.

Maintenance and Reliability – Our heaters are built in our own UK workshop from high-grade components with robust construction. They provide longevity, ease of installation and are virtually maintenance free.

Cost-Effective Operation – Thermostatic control ensures energy-efficiency, only cycling with temperature actuation, this reduces overall heating costs.

Industry Applications – For use across industries to warm HVO, Oils, Diesels and certain chemicals.

Diesel /fuel tank heaters can be top entry angled, top entry straight or side entry dependant on your requirements.
